well you should build your own, it's fun, but if you don't find the time to get all the right parts together, here is the deal: you send an inquiry for the "MULTITOUCH ASSEMBLY KIT" by mail, indicating your delivery address and the urgency (LOW or HIGH). i then reply an offer and the approx. delivery date, depending on the urgency as well as payment methods. if you are embedded in an educational environment or if you plan to order more than one unit, i may offer a price discount. also if you plan another dimension of the plate, we can find solutions:

the size of the frame compared to a mouse

the edge of the acrylic is so clear that it reflects the MTAK logo. it costs a bit extra to get it like this in the acrylic specialist shop.

the frame folded. the side pieces can also be taken off (wingnuts) so the frame fits in a tube for travelling/delivery/storing reasons.

i really love the acrylic edges :)

covered with two A3 papers

all together (wooden stuff included), it weights just about 30kg, with respect to the deviation of my old 'sky weights'. that's why MTAK III is only available in Switzerland in the full blown hasty version. it is quite obvious that sending something locally available like a PC powersupply, a wooden stand or even the acrylic plate (which is one heavy part) does make mild sense. but it does make sense to get the frame, ready to connect to a powersource, nicely packed in a tube, because it's not so available in the supermarket. the frame is the main work part. i created the MTAK III frame as flexible as possible, so it can be used in different setups and circumstances. you can get just the frame, without any other components, that's MTAK III F. i constantly gather improvements and will post further developments on these pages.
